Hyacinth blue standards; hyacinth blue falls with white area around beards with diamond dusted finish. Beards are orange in throat, yellow in middle and white at end. Hidden Sky (21013A Sept Re) is a first generation seedling from TB Re Metro Blue (Lockatell, 2015). Maiden bloom occurred in mid September prior to the 2013 AIS Region 4 Fall Meeting held in Richmond. The hyacinth blue has a lighter area under orange -yellow beards tipped white with a diamond dusted finish. The Metro Blue child rebloomed in 2019 during summer at Kim Bowman's Dancing Dragon Iris Garden in Morristown, TN and in tour gardens for the 2020 AIS Region 4 Meeting (since cancelled due to Covid 19) in Raleigh, NC. Strong summer and fall flowering occurred in trial beds at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Goochland County, VA and a display planting at BP Market in North Chesterfield, VA in 2019 and 2020. Encouraging rebloom was also obtained at New Mexico State University, NM, St. Louis, MO and Slatington, PA during summer and fall in 2020. Fertile both ways. Its seedlings are now being considered for registration.
